From phone-on-a-tripod to a watchable livestream.

A practical guide for sports clubs that want to stream but don't know where to start. No IT background needed. No big budget.

You know the problem

You want to stream home matches so parents, sponsors and alumni can watch along. You google "livestream sport", drown in YouTube tutorials about OBS settings, maybe buy a capture card that doesn't work with your laptop, and after three evenings of tinkering you still have no idea how to produce a full match from setup to teardown with two volunteers who aren't tech people.

Sound familiar? Then this kit is for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a fast computer?

Not necessarily. A 3-4 year old laptop with an i5 processor and 8GB RAM can stream 720p just fine. For 1080p with overlays you'll need a bit more power, but you don't need to buy a gaming PC.

Does this work for hockey, football or handball too?

Yes. The technology is sport-agnostic. The kit was built from rugby experience, but everything — from camera setup to OBS configuration — works for any field sport or indoor sport.

What if our internet is bad?

The kit includes a chapter on internet solutions, including 4G/5G bonding and settings for low bandwidth. The network test script helps you assess in advance whether it's feasible.

Can I do this alone or do I need a team?

Tier 1 you can easily handle alone. From Tier 2 onwards it helps to have two people: one behind the camera and one behind the laptop. The match day guide describes the role distribution.
